Your wedding is one of the happiest and most exciting days of your life and of course you want to capture that day forever. That is why a good wedding photographer is so important. They can capture the feeling of that day, how excited and in love the bride and groom are! While you know how important the photographer is to your wedding how do you go about choosing the right one that will give you the photos you want. You have a pre-wedding shoot done and find the right one.
Finding a Photographer
Photographer’s aren’t just a big part of your wedding they don’t work cheap either so taking the photographer for the proverbial test drive is a good investment. Narrow your choices down to a couple of photographers, two or even three, and then book a low cost session with them. Take note of how they work along with how the pictures turn out. What suggestions do they offer and are you comfortable with them.
Take Pictures Outside of Their Studio
You will want to try and take some location shots, just like you will be doing at your wedding. Talk with the photographer about a couple of locations, try and use places that have sentimental attachment to you. You can use these photos for engagement shots.
Dealing with the Weather
On the day you’re scheduled for pictures the weather may not cooperate. You have two choices either you can re-schedule or you can try and see what the photographer has in the way of a back-up plan. A backup plan isn’t such a bad idea, after all you won’t be able to reschedule your wedding photos. Should the weather cooperate try and take your pics at the same time of day you will have your wedding photos done.
Dressing for the Occasion
These are professionally done portrait shots so you should look your best. Dress simply but elegantly in clothes that are flattering to both of you. Clothes are part of the props just like location and scenery around you.
Getting the Right Shots
After all is said and done it is going to be the quality of the pictures that count. Did the photographer capture a loving couple ready to spend their lives together? Natural shots that convey the emotion between couples are what you are looking for, everything else is just details you can fix.
Getting pre-wedding photos not only helps you to find the right photographer for your wedding, but you can have some photos that you will treasure for years to come.
